JASON HARDY BIOGRAPHY BRIEF
Jason Hardy grew up in Daytona Beach, FL, where he graduated from Seabreeze Senior High School in 2003. Upon graduating, Hardy went on to college majoring in Music Business & Management and studying voice at the world-renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston. While attending Berklee, Hardy became a member of Jubilee Christian Church, where he met Freda Battle, who later afforded Hardy his first opportunity in the gospel music industry by obtaining an internship in March of 2004, with gospel label Axiom Records (Freda Battle, Witness, Ashmont Hill). At the time Ms. Battle was President of Axiom Records (owned by Jubilee Christian Church), and is also considered amongst her industry peers a gospel legend and prolific songwriter and worship leader in her own right. As an intern and under Ms. Battle’s close direction Hardy became privy to an invaluable gospel music industry experience and began honing his skills in artist relations & promotions.
Hardy’s artist relation and promotional abilities combined with his own work as a singer and college student distinguish him as an industry professional who understands the music industry from mostly every angle. In October of 2004 after his internship commenced, Hardy was asked by Freda Battle to join her national recording ensemble Freda Battle and The Temple Worshippers, with which he recorded and traveled across the U.S and Internationally. It was at that time as well that Hardy decided to upstart an entertainment company that would service and cater to the needs of recording artists and companies, with Battle being his first client. He also gained artistic media experience as a production assistant for Black Entertainment Television’s syndicated program “Lift Every Voice.”
To make full use of his unique background, Hardy relocated his company the J. Hardy Agency to Nashville, TN, in October of 2007, a city known for its music and spirit. The agency is a full service entertainment firm, which specializes and provides services to companies, artists, public figures and personalities in Field/Mass Media Promotions and Marketing, Artist/Company Liaison Services, Media/Public Relations, Event/Project Coordination, and Business partnerships.
To date, the J. Hardy Agency has worked with, represented and coordinated various projects and campaigns for an array of recording artists, industry professionals, personalities, and major companies including GRAMMY Award winning artist Regina Belle and Marvin Sapp, GRAMMY- nominated artist VaShawn Mitchell, Stellar Award winning artists Ted Winn and legendary female group Witness, Johnny C. Taylor, Jr. (Rushmoredrive.com), Benita Bellamy (of the Bellamy Group), Tracey Artis (of I Hear Music, Inc.), Monica Bacon (of the Sovereign Agency), the annual True Worship Retreat presented by New Jersey based worship leader Lance Williams, amongst others. Hardy is also currently starring in the electrifying regional touring stage play production of Tyrone Goodman’s “What Shall I Do”, where he plays a 19 year old boy who’s known around town as the ladies’ man.
With extensive industry experience and a rising “1-2 PUNCH”, Jason Hardy and his agency are surely destined to being a major force and is becoming a “WHO’S WHO” in the entertainment industry. The J. Hardy Agency’s impressive list of credits coincides with its caliber of service and attention to detail. It is no wonder that the Jason Hardy and his company has so quickly become an industry favorite.
