Human Magazine is proud to introduce you to an amazing “Human” named Gary Borden. Gary is a rising entertainment model and actor.

Fashion and Runway Model Gary Borden, 24, began modeling professionally in 2008. Relocating from Detroit to Atlanta put him in the right place to network and make his presence known in the world of fashion. No stranger to the entertainment industry, as a teenager Gary hosted several hip hop shows and worked with major recording artist such as Biz Markie, Lil’Flip and Nick Cannon to name a few. Since then Gary has walked in some of Atlanta’s top fashion shows, modeled for top designers and most recently shot a pilot for Doritos 2011 Superbowl Commercial. With no signs of slowing down Gary’s next move and ultimate goal is to mentor young children with aspirations of entering the fashion and entertainment industry.

1. What is your goal with being a model?

I would like to be able to mentor younger children (that do not have guidance and/or resources) with aspirations of becoming a successful model and give them direction, advice and guidance.

2. Are you a christian? If so, how does your faith play a role in your career?

Yes I’m a Christian! I thank GOD daily for every opportunity, good and bad. I believe he has a plan for my career/life and as long as I have faith and live the way he wants me too, I will be blessed.

3. What exciting campaigns do you have coming up?

As of right now I have nothing planned but I would like to become involved with local organizations where I can use my talent and experience to help someone.

4. What tips would you give someone looking to become a model?

1. Stay focused!

2.Everything is not for everyone… Which means there will be many castings you will attend that you will NOT get picked for… continue to do your thing!

3. Be PROFESSIONAL at all times.

5. Whats a typical day for Gary?

Work full time, class full time then gym flow… In between I manage to fit photo shoots, fashion shows and rehearsals.

6. What kind of childhood did you have?

I had a good childhood… I went through things but it made me stronger as an adult. My mom was a single parent, we made it work. I have a strong mother and older sister!

7. Whats on your ipod currently?

I love, love, love music… I listen to everything and everybody from Missy Elliott to Dwele to Britney Spears back to Sade. It depends on my mood. I love independent music a lot too.

8. Tell us something we wouldn’t expect to think about you.

When I was a teenager I was real heavy into the music scene in Detroit, I released a rap album that sold over 10,000 locally.

9. How can your fans stay in touch with you?

On Twitter: G_Model and Facebook: G.B. Model
